WHAT IS AN ACTIVATION?
Each session in the fall semester was be divided into two parts: during the first half, we had have a seminar: an outside speaker will present and take questions; during the second half, we did an activation, where Student Fellows facilitated creative activities or discussion sessions that they have designed with the support of program staff. In a moment when education is evolving rapidly, this will give students the opportunity to:
- Explore and engage with the best ways to learn content (particularly in a virtual environment)
- Experiment with unconventional modes of integration and discussion
- Gain some experience leading and facilitating other students, with some guidance and feedback from Assembly program staff
